WEPD definitely showed well at the national gardens and it does bloom like that every year here in northern KY.
This is what it currently looks like in my garden 5 yrs after getting it and with removing a DF just over 2 yrs ago.

I would consider the fans normal size now but the DF I first purchased was small.
Again repeating, so worth it.
