Right now we're in that stunning time right after a storm with deep blue/black clouds in the east and sun in the west. The flowers just glow! We had so much lightning that the grass is vivid green. The dust is washed off, everything is watered, and the weeds are giving up with the slightest tug.
Not sure how much rain we got since it fell sideways at 50 mph! Windows got thoroughly washed.
We always welcome rain, even if it falls sideways, firehose style!
