Surgery complete! I've left the pieces out overnight or them o dry and I'll repot tomorrow as long as it looks like it's dried properly. I didn't think to check the blade for soil after the first cut, I don't know if the little bits of soil will increase the chance of rot setting in but time will tell Shrug!
