Jim, Pachypodiums and other Succulents with fat stems are another whole group of plants with really interesting shapes and the blooms are a nice bonus. I will take some pictures as time arrises. Google Caudiciforms or "Fat Plants", but don't complain if you get hooked..... Right, Ted?
