I found this idea of planting adenuim on an old adenium forum and found it interesting. What do you think?

"my medium has two layers. one third from the bottom up i place 100% coarse river sand. it has a good retention of moisture and will quickly drain excess water if given a good size drain outlet. the rest of the medium is 50% coarse river sand 50% compost . with this mixture the medium will not be totally dry but will drain off excess water easily."

And this:
"base on the experience and advice shared by collectors, the containers should be wider than it is deep. this is also to influence the shape of the caudex"

And this:
" i dont need the water to reach all the way down.bec. i dont need the adenium to grown many tiny roots all over the pot. i am after the caudex to grow fat. so my logic here is just wet and nourish the caudex directly so it will grow fatter and faster."
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love Truly, Laugh
uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you Smile.
