We have fires just north of us and west of us....pretty bad situation. Seems to me the question of whether or not to allow fireworks this 4th of July is......well,......OBVIOUS! That is,....unless we have a sudden development of a hurricane/tropical storm which would bring ample rain........doesn't seem likely at this point. We've lost 4 - 5 pines this year & this morning,....I cut down a massive pine (died) near my neighbor's house (their tree). Our pond is completely dried up.....1st time we've seen this in 13 yrs we've been here. We've averaged 99 degrees for over a week...with several days in triple digits ( highest being 103.........in June)

Our seed-eating birds in the area are being very dependent on our provided food & water.....but hey,....lookin' on the bright side.....
NO Mosquitos!
God Bless America!
