OK, got my first shipment of roses in. The canes were pretty gosh-darned dry. They were shipped in wet newspaper 3day fed-ex, but still they were very dry. I'm thinking that they were kept in their cooler for too long. Anyways, I have them soaking in 2 buckets of water w/"QuickStart" (yes, a MiracleGro product.. no haters please). I'll be putting them in the ground tomorrow (Friday) once I find the PERFECT spot for them as these 3 are going together as a grouping. I got 2 Rhapsody in Blue (http://cubits.org/roses/db/ros...) and they're going to go on either side of White Licorice (http://www.helpmefind.com/rose...). Oh I just can't WAIT!

I put one of my gloves (size Large.. these are Home Depot gloves, 5 for $5) next to the roots so everyone can see the wonderful size of the root system with these roses. Yes, it's all 3 roses tied together, but still, look how fricking HUGE the root systems are!!! MUCH MUCH better than a pathetic body bag!!

YAY!
