I acquired this plant at a local plant swap a few months ago .. the tag on it said 'Goldfish'. I was unable to find anything related to gardenia with the name 'Goldfish' attached to it but someone was able to find a single but somewhat ambiguous reference to something called Gardenia 'Goldfish', but no picture.

It finally bloomed and I have been able to find two cultivars that look exactly like mine from the front, 'Chinese Single' and 'Daisy'. Unfortunately no side views of the flower. The side view is something I've never seen in a gardenia .. it's tubular!

There is a reference in our Plant Database for the 'Daisy'. But before I offer up pictures I want to make sure. Does anyone recognize this?

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
