I have Hercules and have him planted where he gets part shade. If there is any sun at all that he gets, it is the morning sun.

Hercules has been a great plant for me. I recieved him some years ago in a trade and he just keeps on going. I have divided and traded him. I thought during the last couple of years, with the extreme heat we have had during the summer months, that I may have lost him - but was quite excited to see him coming back and flowering this year. From what I have heard about Snow Angel, she pretty much melts away over time. I have heard that from several different people. She used to be on my want list, but not anymore. For that variegated look, you will do so much better with Hercules.

I do think that an eastern exposure would work well. That would keep the harsh afternoon sun from really doing anything harmful to Hercules.
