Fruiting shrubs are a great addition to the edibles landscape. I grow many different fruiting shrubs. Lets start a discussion on our favorite fruiting shrubs.

The Goumi are starting to get ripe. These fruits are plentiful on lovely medium size shrubs. Very tart, you can eat them fresh only when fully ripe, otherwise too tart even for my taste. But for people that make jams or jellies these are fabulous shrubs. Beautiful looking shrubs too. Mine are in the front yard. Whatch out though, the backyard birds love the fruit also. Fruit pictured is not quite ripe yet but soon.
