I have wanted to post some photos of what's blooming here for me but have been snowed under! We bought this house less than 3 months ago so I've inherited some plants ~~~~ some I want & some I don't! And I have planted some. I recently became a member of the Suwanee Valley daylily society. I had attended their annual show & sale. Oh MY! 2 fan bundles of Salter hybrids for $5 per bundle. I came home with 16 bundles. Whistling Blinking
I have been without garden for 2 years while we made this move from zone 10 Fl. to zone 8 Fl. Can you say gardening withdrawal? BIG TIME!!!!
I know I'm supposed to cut scapes off the new dl's & let them grow until next year but did I tell you I have been gardenless for TWO years? And I had a BAD case of gardening withdrawal??? Well, I just couldn't do it. I NEED to see something blooming that I planted. We have a long grow season here so I'm sure they'll do just fine despite my breaking the rules. That's 1 reason I love dl's so much ~~~ they are tougher than nails!
Purchased 5/18 & this is the second bloom on Desert Blush

I didn't like it before & almost threw it out. Now that it's in a permanent home the color & form have improved considerably & I am liking it more & more.

I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
