I think the rainbow knockout would look good with carefree celebration. I think the coral colored roses would look good planted with purple flowers like russian sage, perennial geranium, salvia, etc. You could grow the others from seed and save your money for roses. One of the grocery stores is growing the pink double knock out roses in a sunny flower bed. They look good even without deadheading and care - much nicer than the typical surburban boxwood turd bushes.
Ella is hosting a seed swap called hog wild at Ellen's Garden cubit in the cottage garden/seed swap area. I joined her swap for the first time last year and am doing it again this year. Ella hosted it last year at the other place. Everyone lists the seeds that they have (and want) on the list, emails each other, packs and labels their seeds, sends them with postage to Ella and she generously sorts and returns the seeds. They are just starting sign ups now. My gardening goal for next year is adding more companion plants to the roses and growing more herbs in containers.
Last year was my first year seed swapping and my first year winter sowing seeds....I am hooked for life! Someday I will have a bigger yard, but I am still finding places to tuck in plants here and there. The bf looked at the cups of drying seeds and accused me of terminally hoarding seeds....he has no idea. They take up less space than yarn. Unlike sewing and knitting needles, they don't hurt if you step/sit on them. Nothing to complain about in my book.
