It's kind of funny - the roses I spent the most dollars per plant on last year/this year were the only ones I had to pamper through our brutal drought this summer. The sweet little bands thrived and bloomed much more than I expected them to. On the other hand, those expensive plants with the huge and spreading root systems had to be babied along. To me that's just strange, but then I'm only a newly successful rose gardener so any good is great!

My last bud/bloom of the season on Charlotte -she finally decided to do something! Hilarious! (Photo taken about 5 weeks ago.)
