Ah that explains it then, I've been wondering how in the world I could have made such a mistake... Confused
It works but it sounds a little whiny...
It's discouraging to open the aroids forum only to see no new posts!
I have literally hundreds of EE, and work for hours in the garden daily, always with my phone, often taking pics...but with no conversation in the thread, I don't bother to open it, if I don't open it, I'm not going to post in it...
I like aroids, most of the ones I grow are tropical, many are not...I guess I just to accept the fact that aroids will be a slow sub forum anywhere I go, not from lack of interest in the plants themselves, but seemingly some aversion to an aroid specific forum... Sad

Back on topic...

About fertilizing...I'm not a fan of MG!
They market their products as if every other product is inferior, while in reality, they are the one over charging for a mediocre product, it works way better than nothin...
They basically started this whole fertilizer confusion we have now...
Jacks/jrpeters offers, in my opinion, I far superior product, at a fraction of the cost, it really is what the pros use! Order directly from their site, it's still cheaper than mg even with shipping!
With a little math, it's very easy to refill those prepack fert bottles with fert u mix from powder.
I burn thru literally 5 pounds of water soluble a month, if that was mg, that would be $500 a year in fert, and those premixed refills are much more expensive than the water soluble...I could easily spend a grand a year if I used those...ack
U might also look up an item called a hose-on, it work just the same except it attaches to the spigot, and has a small feeder hose u drop in a bucket, it sucks up the fert water, and u get the same result as u do with a hose end sprayer, without having to haul that heavy thing around, it never leaks fert on u, like all hose ends do, and refillings a breeze! Just dump more fert in, stick the hose in the bucket til full and mixed and away u go... It's all to much hassle for me nodding just sprinkle blue salt on the ground and water in.. Done, if u time it right u can just let rain do the work...

Remember! 20-20-20 is a waste in EE, counter productive even!
I use 11-50-11, mg has bulb booster I think it's 9-52-9 maybe, EE love that ratio, but the faster growing ones like some nitrogen added too!
It's really hard to burn plants with low N fert too, so they can handle alot of it, and often!

My thai giant gets dosed 2x a week with enough dry powder to mix 10 gallons of outdoor strength fert, then I wash it in with maybe 3 gallons, that's roughly 12 x instructed dosage! To offset the cost of nitrogen... I pee on it as often as I can, call it gross if u want!
Reality is its green green GREEN, literally and figuratively, the plant consumes the N and all the micro and macro nutes, which we produce many of in abundance, this saves a flush, the water treatment plant doesn't process it, and because the plants so darn hungry, little waste is left behind! The circle is complete!
But also, the plant is literally green as can be! And I think it's growing... Rolling on the floor laughing

He just got a big shot of blue salt, ill post a pic tmrw for comparisons sake,
Please tree mail me for trades, I'm ALWAYS actively looking for more new plants, and love to trade!
