As many of you know, cattleya alliance plants are what I like to grow, primarily because of their large flowers and fragrance. For some reason, all six of my 'Elmhurst' plants and now both of my 'Emerald Isle' plants have bloomed in the last six weeks. Previously they were both fall bloomers. Perhaps they have now become twice-a-year bloomers? Also, the Blc. Copper Queen is in bloom and has nine more buds to open, along with the four flowers. These are "dainty" flowers, only measuring 4" in diameter, but the number of flowers makes up for the small size. The 'Emerald Isle' has 6" flowers and the 'Elmhurst', 7" flowers.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
