I've never had fresh currants. Just the dried ones in scones.

We also planted a pomegranate tree this year. It has small fruit so I will be anxious to try it.

We don't sell any fruit at market, except when I had some extra strawberries. We usually just eat it all fresh. I'd like to make some jam but we never seem to have enough fruit.

Oh, we have muscadine grapes too, and peaches and plums and pecàns, black walnuts and English walnuts.
