Next time the fence needs replacing, you should put a few "ornaments" in your garden along the fence line. I bet they'd be glad to replace the fence! This was on the Yard Art Tour in Austin a couple of years ago. When the house next door sold, this owner turned all the heads to face the new owners' backyard. The next day they put up a 6' fence, just on that side.
