Hi everyone... I'm new to this thread, but I have been 'lurking'. Bought a Red Cobweb awhile back and it produced a few pink blooms! It has been so rainy here, that I left it in the nursery pot on the porch until I found a decent place/pot to replant it. I like the strawberry pot idea, but will it work for this plant? Or should I just find an old shoe or boot? LOL
My mom just told me that a friend of hers soaked an old leather workboot in a bucket of MiracleGro before planting her Hen in it.. is that a good idea? And do I need to buy a special potting mix, like for cacti, or just use what I normally use for all my other plants?

When I bought it:

Now as it blooms:
