Thanks Mark! You have a really nice clutch of hens there! LOL I do have a couple terra cotta bowls that I got from a pottery place last year, about the size of a serving bowl.. Now- if I start with my normal potting mix, how much of the other grit, etc do I use for the right proportions, or is there a preferred ratio? Lowe's had cacti mix for $3 a bag, but I don't remember what was in it.
Mom just plants hers in a shovelful from her vegetable garden..... LOL

She also gave me some aloe vera plants and I mixed in some grit, but not much, into my MiracleGro potting mix. Don't think I got that ratio right by a long shot... Confused
