Charter ATP Member I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
Lynn, PBS is out in the weather and not on the porch. I had to hand water the semps on the porch yesterday, as they were looking a bit too dry and shriveled.

Sandi, I checked a MCG a few days ago and was surprised to see how few semps and sedums were listed. Hope that increases as well.

Chris, I share your concerns. My Cornelian cherries are in full bloom. While they tolerate frost, if it gets too cold, I will lose the whole fruit crop. The past two weeks, its been a bit colder than what is considered normal here, but the past few days has been well above normal and we are going to be in the 70's daytime for the next 10 days (if the weather oracles know what they are talking about). The Cornelian cherries typically bloom in late march or early April, so we are at least two weeks ahead of schedule. Hope it holds.

I was out for almost 2 hours this morning, weeding, tagging and cleaning dirt out of the pots. I really like how the wooden planters I made last year have held up and how the plants are doing in them. The cheap plastic pots I've been using just don't hold up well enough from year to year and I don't like using different sizes, creating a motley display, for the collection. I guess that means I'll be making more planters this year.

Even burying the plastic tags has not been sufficient as the bad storms over the winter actually blew a few tags out of the pots. Have to find a better way.

Fame Monstrose: Noticed the the Monstrose form will produce mostly Monstrose offsets, but the non-Monstrose offsets also produce mostly Monstrose offsets. Looks weird to see a normal hen surround by Monstrose offsets.

It's spring! (well, almost...)
