I finally ripped out the Giant Hogweed that was growing in my beds yesterday. I had on like a full hazmat suit to do it, too. Tulle over my face and head, cap, full-coverage rain suit, long rubber boots and elbow-length rubber gloves. May seem like overkill, but I'm thinking that my skin condition might have been caused by pulling Hogweed weed unprotected last year. So, yes, please do have a care in removing any of these plants! It's a long-lasting, irritating and scarring affair if it gets on you and you're exposed to sunlight.
