As soon as you move it the front, it will get those 37 inch scapes. Sticking tongue out Mine is in part shade, and the scapes are usually about 30 inches tall. I've seen some at a daylily farm whose scapes seemed to be about 4 feet tall. I think if you have it planted in full sun where no other daylilies or plants are blocking it, those scapes would grow to the registered height in 3 or 4 years. I think it has to be fully established to get that tall. Also, remember Indiana was in an awful drought last year. We were in Tennessee too. Many of my plants have shorter scapes than usual this year.
