Mine is in part shade, and the scapes are usually about 30 inches tall. I've seen some at a daylily farm whose scapes seemed to be about 4 feet tall. I think if you have it planted in full sun where no other daylilies or plants are blocking it, those scapes would grow to the registered height in 3 or 4 years. I think it has to be fully established to get that tall. Also, remember Indiana was in an awful drought last year. We were in Tennessee too.
