I like the twist tie idea, but I worry too much about the metal inside them causing damage to my trumpet vine. So what I like to do is twist tie to hold, then tie a piece of yarn. I figure yarn is soft, and won't do too much damage? Great post, helped me handle this young vine I have growing!
