The Laelia pots were never cut. It just creeps over the side and winds its roots around the inside of the plastic pot. I treat it like a mounted plant. Now it has to be renovated, as it is creeping over the outer pot, with nothing but old psbs on the interior. Don't know anything about your plant though.
