Once the tomatoes start ripening, I always have extras. I planted a ton of plants. And I like to share, I give bags and bags and bags of tomatoes away. But it is too early. The plants are loaded with green tomatoes that are not even showing a blush yet. Three of them did blush but I picked them for myself and am waiting for them to turn on my kitchen counter. And the point is they are my plants, I did all the work, I get those first few ones that ripen and I don't give those away. But all my neighbors are impatient for red tomatoes.

That same neighbor asked me for tomatoes two days ago. Two days later I still don't have any!
