Once in a while I buy a rose just because I don't already have it. I bought a bare-root Solitude one year because I saw it at a nursery and had never heard of it. Now I can't conceive of not having Solitude in my garden. It's a very tall rose -- about 7 feet -- and it's always in bloom. The buds look like this when they're opening:
