Arlene, hurray for a great Market Day. I bet you wish you had had more of those tomatoes to sell.
I do know the purple beans turn green when cooked but I still think it is really neat to start with purple and yellow instead of plain old green.
And I have many other TB iris sections and iris beds. No problems with any of them. Just this one. And I had problems there with the iris not doing great from the get go. I am thinking is it fate and I am just NOT meant to have TB iris there.
The soil is great, daylilies, lilies, other veggies all go fine. Just those darn TB iris. The area used to be a veggie garden but not for years now so no problems with wanting to plant whatever there next spring.
Last year I think I bought 3 pepper plants. The slugs ate them all. This year I have 14. At least the slugs didn't get them. I am getting peppers but could do better. Nope, that's it. I will be pulling any iris left and planting peppers there next year. After that I can worry about a rotation plan.
My tomatoes don't have a rotation plan because I have no place else and need to reuse the same tomato beds year after year.
Yes, trying to catch up here also. Never quite make it. But am working in the upstairs will be turnip bed. Pulled the radishes. Will plant turnips.
