I used a sharp spray from the nozzle to get my Tropicana out from a BIG pot earlier this spring. It was still dormant and it took awhile to spray the soil away. It is doable and some roots may have to be cut away to give some wriggle room. I couldn't believe how solidly the rhizomes filled this pot! Needless to say I gave away a lot of rhizomes after I was done
