Many of those wildflowers are likely to be just fine, Rosykay. If it becomes possible for you or a helper to mow it off or chop it down in late fall it would probably be even better. Once they have a good start they can grow on their own within the grasses just fine. We haven't done anything with our wildflower meadow for several years now. It's self-sustaining at this point, and an ever-changing source of joy...for us, and for all the winged visitors that frequent it.
