Hi everyone! Jim invited me over from that "other" gardening website. I recognize some of the names on here but for those who don't know me, I'm Melanie. I live just north of Tampa, FL. My main gardening hobby is raising butterflies but I got into orchids a little over a year ago. I have one picture of an orchid that is just starting to open up. I'll take a better picture when it opens but I was so afraid of some critter getting to it that I wanted to go ahead and get a pic. This is C. Hawaiian Wedding Song x Lc. Ann Akagi. You'll come to find out I have a weakness for anything with a Hawaiian sounding name! This is a first-time bloomer for me. I thought this one would be white, but it came out my favorite color-purple! It also smells pretty good!
