Dear Ariene, I totally agree with you they are delicious! You can make what we call parsnip chips by using a potato peeler. You simply peel them fine and deep fat fry them quickly, lovely with game birds.
I do have a lot of recipes and a recipe Database at http://cubits.org/Neil/forums/...
Of course not all of it is British.
We call cookies biscuits, and shortbread which is Scottish is wonderful and easy to make. Scones are great with strawberry jam (jelly), and cream with a cup of tea. We call it Afternoon cream tea or high tea and is normally served at 3:00PM.
And thou the village clock strikes ten to three is there honey and jam left for tea!
Most kindest regards from a very hot England.
Neil.
