Dormantsrule....It's a miracle wrapped around 'beginner's luck! When I saw the small scape back in July, I was dumbfounded. Didn't want to say anything. Frankly, I didn't know what to say. I crossed my fingers and ignored it, for fear it would fall off, or be eaten by the chipmunks. Today when out on the daylily hill taking pictures on the side of my house, I remembered that seedling. I walked around to the front of the house, and looked down at my seedling bed. OMG, it was in full bloom. I could not believe it. I just starred at it. It is beautiful for the first flower ever. Pale apricot background with that bright purple/mauvish eye, repeated beautifully on the edge. I am in complete shock. At my age, I questioned whether I should even get into dealing with daylily seeds because of the amount of time it takes to bring a seedling to an adult lily. But I decided to give it a try. I am glad i did.

These seeds were won on the LA from seed seller Darlene. Thank-you, Darlene. I tip my hat to you.
