This was based on taste only, not on production or disease resistance or anything else. My very favorite tomato I have ever grown and my favorite and the one to pick to eat over ANY tomato I have ever tried is Big Boy. I have tried heirlooms including Brandywine and Cherokee Purple. Big Boy tastes better to me. Better Boy tastes similar and almost as good. On any given day depending on the tomato actually chosen they might switch places.

Beefmaster is one I tried for the first time last year. LOVED them.

Then on another forum I read peoples recommendations for great tasting red hybrid tomatoes. Big Beef, Rutgers and Jet Star were all mentioned many times. Supersonic, I bought because it looked good from the description at the Nursery when I was buying tomatoes.

Thank you for the offer of seeds. But I have so many tomato seeds from last year. Maybe I can actually get some going this winter.
