Yes, I agree with Marilyn. Note sun exposure and what they look and feel like before you take them out to get idea of how they are and then just use hand shovel and take them up, remove excess soil and put in bags to transport to wherever. If they still have a little dirt on them, just lay them out somewhere like a table or counter in the shade and let dry out if they are wet. If already dry, you can plant them in well draining soil and put in shady area for them to acclimate to new soil and new environment. When they look and feel like how they were before you took them home, you could probably progressively move them out gradually to more sun exposure.
