Rick, I do get some strange ideas, I've never seen it before either. The holes are below the soil surface. The plant pieces in them were just stuck in there. Started doing that about a month ago and a few pieces didn't take root but almost all of them have & are starting to grow and fill out. The more I did it, the easier it got.

A piece of Hemigraphis I put in this one is very wilty, might not make it but the other stuff looks like it will.

I ran out of plant material to fill all of the holes, for a while, but decided to finish making the holes anyway. More will grow soon to go in them.
