Lucky you having a greenhouse big enough to store them Smiling Agree with the hanging baskets, at least water does drain out well. I have most of my succulent outdoors year round..and always hoping for the best during our rainy winters. But I think as with other plants getting rained on is okay from time to time..good water for them..it is the cold and wet combo that will kill them.
