I don't know about this 'mosaic virus'. I have heard about this in Amaryillis. Is it real bad? I don't know it I have it and don't want to spread it around. Can good cuttings be free of this or the whole plant is infected? During hot summer my plant turns brownish and that is when it blooms.

You can count in any virus being systemic and the entire plant will be infected!
Without sending material to a lab there's no way if knowing what it is for sure..
I'm pretty familiar with mosaic, it's prominent here, mostly TMV, what I've read is that staps are susceptible to cucumber mosaic, which I'm less familiar with, and to honest I've never seen mosaic in a succulent, but it looks distinctly like mosaic on my staps.
I've grown healthy ones for years, I know how they should look, I don't mind the bark that they get with age, age cold damage seems inevitable, and unsightly too, but it's different.
This swooped in all at once 2 summers ago and quickly marred the entire plant, there were no harsh conditions to cause damage.
I'm over it now, I've tossed all but 2 and they are going too, it's really not a huge loss, only 5 or 6 species, ill get more in a year or 2 once things settle down and there's no traces of it around...
If you wanna hear a real scary story, stush, at times I've wondered if it infected my sans collection... I THINK they are just suffering from cold damage tho... It's concentrated in S. cylindrica...
I'll get better pics before I toss any more, I want to pluck some random babies out of the big pot, it's full of other little stuff
