Those look just like the ones I have, but mine don't have the red stripe at the leaf edge, and the seed balls are green, not red like those on your plant. If yours proliferates as readily from making new rhizomes, (like 10x per year!) you'd never get the inkling to sprout a seed, unless you think it may have made an interesting cross with a different kind nearby, just how to contain them, to be enjoyed but to not start a farm of them. If you want more, just pull out your shovel next spring and you'll be amazed how much rhizome you excavate. Now I see why there are often barrier-less weed/grass-free patches of them mid-lawn (as a not-long-ago-transplant from OH where they are not hardy.) Not even wiregrass can find a smidge of soil (or light) among an established patch of Canna rhizomes. I cut the section of flower stalk off as soon as the flowers turn brown, they keep blooming for a long time, a really long time. I like these a lot, even though I had to move them from where they started. Now that I *get it,* they are in a better spot(s,) and have more space. I can see them more from inside too. And I shared them with 5 other people.
