Ummmm.........technically, you don't "feed" the magnets to the cows. I mean, they're not gonna up and eat 'em.........they're like big 'horse pills" and need to be given with a balling gun. Some farmers routinely give their first calf heifers magnets when they freshen. We did not as a case of hardware was not all that common on our farm.

Forgot to add that you can buy them at a farm supply store but since we didn't routinely give magnets, the vet did it when he diagnosed hardware.
