Lynn,

Well here are some new ones to add to the Vaughn Memorial Garden as i have put names to these plants that many of you saw at the clinic this spring. It will be a couple years before they are marketed so you have a chance to get the full football field dug and edged by then! Just sent off these to propagated.

S. 'Positively Glowing': This is the amazing glowing red one. It makes a very solid rosette. Medium to large.

S. 'Hot Tamale': Starts out red with orange tones and progresses to a more even orange. Medium sized.

S. 'Red Hot Chili': Very shiny red with starry shaped small rosettes. Has that same color as red hot chili peppers!

S.'Fashion Diva': In the spring this is a glowing red-black. during the season it transforms to a bright red ortange with darker tips.

S. 'Borscht' Huge beet purple that retains its color all season.

S. 'Polly Bishop' Large rosettes of very dark purple edged charcoal grey.

S. 'Helen Payne': 'Large rosette of bright but dark red-purple edged grey-green.

S. 'Roasted Chestnuts': Medium-sized rosettes that are green with strong bright chestnut red-brown flush on the backs of the leaves, strongly watermarked.

There are a lot of interesting seedlings appearing in the patch and there should be a similar number of selections from the next batch. It might not take quite a football field yet but I'm working on it!

Kevin
