At $5, I would replace several of my one-cane-wonder HT's. At $50, I would expect it to be full-grown, on a nice trellis, and planted for me! Whistling Green Grin! And guaranteed to grow for more than a few years.
(i wonder how many Vintage Gardens sells at those prices? OTOH, i shouldn't say much because many many daylilies cost that much and more, and I *Blush* admit to having bought a few of those in the "and more" category.)
Vintage Gardens was selling the one-gallons for $25 unless they were custom root. Why did they raise it to $30??
I've ignored my roses all summer, and they are blooming their little hearts out right now.
On the VG list, Victor Borge, Black Tea and and Veldfire are most tempting. Those 3 roses would be $90 plus $45 shipping, AND since they only have a few of each, there's no guarantee they wouldn't substitute. Not a deal I would jump on. Glare
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
