>> My general PNW green tree badge suits me well.
If I ever get to the point where I know what works where I live, I might lose some of my interest in the academic stuff. I've only gardened here for around 4 years or so. I'm really interested in reading and relating what I read to my little microclimate.
Plus,. I think I just have a nerdy interest in nerdy things. But "climate" is one of the many gardening issues that are so complex and detailed that the purely technical, analytic approach is either impractical or requires multiple PhDs and full-time-nerdiness.
After reading everything I can, it still always comes down to trying new stuff until something works for me.
I like to think that all the reading helped me learn to kill everything only 30% of the time, instead of 70% of the time!
