OK, back again and yes, very interesting....Dictionary asked:" What made you want to look up allelopathy? Please tell us where you read or heard it" and so I gave them your name... Hilarious!

You do know how to keep us laughing Bev. Lovey dubby

webesemps said:I had thought to separate the arachs from the other non-arachs but really didn't like them all by themselves (they looked like an old folks home; you know, with all the white hair and/or unshaven stubbies). So I have been trying to incorporate them back into the general population but being more mindful of where I put them. So far a few are doing OK mixed in. What I like about the arachs in the general population is that they serve well as accents amongst the color (mostly green, right now).

I do have to agree with what you said about the arachs being a great accents amongst the other types of semps. Especially this time of year.
Nice photo of the arach snuggling up to the green semp. Wonder if they are planning a wedding?

Janice, I tend to give them space and find that they do also seem to multiply faster. Might just be my imagination. They really do prefer to be in a nice sized colony.

Jo Ann, come next year they will be taking over. Do you have a photo of the ones that used to grow in the pea gravel. That would be so much fun to see.
