Once I opened up the greenhouse it got a lot of sun, and a few weeks later I put it outside. When I noticed the scale the bumps (I'm sure there's a better name for them, it's where the young scale are hatched, I think) were very dark colored. There was no change after sun and being outdoors, and I simply ran my fingers down the vines and pulled them all off- there weren't any live scale to be seen, the bumps were all dry inside. It was very strange!
The plant is growing well now, so we'll see. I have another variety of Stephania and in the past scale has done a lot of damage to it, but the perrieri seemed unaffected. Maybe I should chop up some of the vines and use it as a scale treatment, lol
I forgot, my cactus bloomed again. I tried to pollinate it again but no dice. It's the second time it bloomed this summer, I'm thrilled! I thought it would bloom this year because it added extra fuzz on top
