I've heard it can be invasive if grown in the ground here in Florida; I find it to be fairly cold hardy, mine were all grown in containers but would stay outside year round. I left a few pots at our other house for our tenants and gave some to the neighbors when we moved. I had one bloom during the winter a few years ago.
