to ATP, and what a great idea! I have mine climbing up a lilac, but placing one in a rather sparse looking Russian Olive is a better plan! I keep the Russian Olive pruned nicely so it has more of a tree look than shrub look.
i have an espaliered apple tree that has 3 different kinds of apples grafted onto it, and 2 different clematis growing through it. It is pretty funny watching guests try to figure out what the blooms are, and later, the fluffy seed heads. One of the clematis in the tree is a Florida Seiboldi, and people actually think that the blooms are super large apple blossoms. It is beautiful, though.
