When I was given this plant a few years back, It was tagged Dwarf Tibouchina Lavender Princess Flower. When I planted it in the ground, I discovered a printed tag, Tibouchina urvilleana compacta I was pleased because I have a lovely T Urvilleana courtesy of PlantLadyLin I tip my hat to you. that has done very well in my yard.

I wanted to place pictures in the Plant Database but wanted to make sure my info was correct. What I found on-line was the Athen's Blue Dwarf Princess Flower in the below link...are they one in the same plant?

This is my plant. It started out being in Zone 8b,updated to 9a. It usually dies back to the ground after a hard freeze, and a heavy frost does in the leaves, but comes back each Spring. Full sun on the Southeast side of the yard. It reaches 4 to 5 feet tall and I have divided the root ball in half once and transplanted it in the yard a couple years ago.
