I bought a slingshot to chase squirrels away from bird feeders.

But then I realized that I didn't have the heart to hurt them. At least it motivated to run out on the deck and brandish it - good exercise for me and I'm sure it entertained the tree rats.

Later I realized that I didn't have the skill to hit them, either!

Just because it ISN'T complicated doesn't mean I can't MAKE it complicated!
