chelle, those are the green coated metal fence posts and I leave them all winter.

Mary Stella, I just plant them. For instance yesterday 800 bulbs went in a dug trench that was about 16 feet long and maybe 18 inches wide. And if your asking how did they fit? They get planted in layers. Small bulbs like crocus get layered on top.

Obviously, I have bulbs all over the garden. But in my daylily beds I plant bulbs both in between the rows and then also in between the daylilies. Today I put 400 tulips and 300 crocus in a newly created daylily bed between and in front of the daylilies.
