@ValleyLynn
YES, we were indeed cross posting.

I followed the link you shared w/ me, thanks so much, very informative yet confusing as I still was not able to figure out what type these are.
I figured Sempervivum as Nancy, my co-worker who gave them to me stated that they produce pinkish blooms.
The root connection to the Mother also confuses me and I am wondering if I can cut them and just set them in my rocks along w/ my others?
(Not sure if I should cut them @ the base of the Mother and @ the base of the Chick or what.)
Or, I thought I might just lay them in the rocks and the dirt will sink in when they are watered or when it rains?

Here's today pics of my "Dragon" it's looking a bit emaciated and is dying.
It's flowers don't look as pic perfect as the ones you shared w/ me but I'm ok w/ that since it's my very 1st.

This one is sprouting and is curving to the left, the other one in the pic's foreground looks like it might take off too.

These poor lil' things are prbly so confused since our nights had been cooler and now it's hot again.
*I am REFUSING to turn my A/C back on!* Sticking tongue out
